Eliminate foods which are taxing on the liver such as fried foods, refined sugar products, foods containing trans-fatty acids such as margarine and vegetable shortening and avoid saturated fats found in foods such as meat and dairy products. Avoid an excessive intake of alcohol.
Q: Do I have to drink a lot of water?Yes! This is really important, not only for general hydration, but also because water is essential for flushing toxins and impurities from the liver and kidneys. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of unchilled water every day.
